Men of type ILI are always outwardly calm and courteous, give the impression of closed people immersed in the world of their thoughts. Often dressed in black. Depending on their position and status in society, they can either very carefully monitor their hygienic health and appearance, or vice versa, almost completely ignore this aspect of their lives.
Women of the type ILI (ILI women)?, restrained externally, often compensate for the lack of personal charm by creating a psychedelic image, either modern or stylish or vintage, emphasizing the beauty and grace given to them by nature. Similarly to ILI men, they like black colour in their clothes and also do not mind the inclusion of male clothes in their everyday style.
Critic, philosopher, scientist, artist. Outwardly soft and calm ILI has a philosophical mind and a critical view of life. Silent and withdrawn ILI seems to be unemotional, but in reality he is very sensitive to the emotions of others. ILI can be deeply affected and confused by strong expression of emotions not knowing how to deal with them effectively.
Endowed with abstract thinking, interested in metaphysics and science ILI not rarely pursues a career in literature and art. The prototype for ILI in socionics is the French novelist Honore de Balzac, who created a new direction in literature – literary realism and described in his novels portraits of 2 thousand people.
He often reflects on the past, considers everything new as an echo of the old times. Avoids strong emotions and power pressure by silently standing his ground and refusing to compromise. ILI appreciates financial independence and see it as a pledge of his personal freedom, security and power. Being generally tactful and caring he may allow himself at times to say rude jokes or to be truthful and direct at the expense of somebody’s feelings. Some ILIs may indulge themselves in designer clothes and luxury way of life but the majority of them show little interest in appearance wearing mostly black. ILI does not hesitate to drop the relationship if the partner or a friend let him down and never looks back.
He may feel deeply disappointed and hurt but will show no regrets and will not change his mind. Due to vulnerable function of extraverted ethics ILI tends to avoid emotionally demanding people and relationships.
People of this type are extremely sensitive about a good reputation and are cautious in choosing people whom they can trust with a private information. ILI is drawn to people with a strong character, independent, self-confident, firmly standing on their feet and knowing what they want from life.
