Intuitive IEI Ben B.

The result of personality type diagnostics for Ben is Intuitive IEI with ILI subtype within the Superid type group and IEE by TPE profile and irrational type of psychodynamics.

We started the associative psycho-diagnostics as usual with assessing associative test results.
Ben’s result on Talanov’s test was between IEI and IEE. Associative test results pointed to the most likely types IEI or ILI. Associative test, most reliable, pointed to IEI.

In Ben’s music preferences is present a strong irrationality which suggests irrational type of psychodynamics. This is how he summarises his choice of music:”I think I would say in a way my music is a reflection of myself both happy, humor filled, and melancholic, dream filled, maybe some would consider dramatic. Seeming to try and struggle between the two, happiness and longing for more/better life conditions.”

Lyrics are of particular importance for Ben:
“One thing I forgot to mention as well will elaborate on what I mean when I say lyrics are important to me. My favorite type of artist is one who can tell a story through their music, especially if it has a progression over multiple albums. It makes me feel like I am listening to the “story of their life” or the story of whatever they have created as a narrative through their music. It really impresses me when an artist is able to do that.”
“I just like artists that intentionally do that as a way to express who they are or who they want to be. There are plenty of artists, especially mainstream artists, that are just making songs that sounds good and make money. Which I will admit they are catchy, but to me they don’t say anything to me that strikes me at a deeper level. That is what I like in music.”

Favourite Art:

Pictures are predominantly dark which suggests strong introversion and hence introverted type of psychodynamics. You can find pictures which are highly ethical and intuitive as well as dynamic and irrational pictures. People look sideways and down which is introspection, sinking deep in their thoughts.

This is what N.P. (EII) wrote about the choice of Ben’s art: “The content itself does not necessarily put me off but the colors are awfully drab to me. It’s not even that they are dark…I like dark, rich colors, but that they feel…depressing. Not exactly the content, the colors.”

Pictures, which Ben does not like point to the rejections of logics and negative sensing Si. Some people were confused to see Ni preferences in both – preferences and dislikes. This is how R.M. (IEI) explained his understanding of Ben’s dislikes in art: “There are ethical issues. Inharmonious internal states are shown. The anomaly is interesting only for analysis, but not for observation and immersion.”
